Crash Landing On You Episode 3 Recap

I will be writing weekly episode recaps about Crash Landing on You (or trying to). Recaps are typically uninspiring. If I want an episode play-by-play, I can watch the show. This is a disclaimer: There will be spoilers, be prepared. If you would like to start from the beginning of the series, go here.

Five Things That Happened This Episode

  1. The Wiretapper
  2. Dan and Seung Jun arrive in North Korea
  3. Captain Ri continues his research
  4. Se Hyeong gets closer to finding Seung Jun
  5. Se Ri and Captain RI set off

1. The Wiretapper

In this episode, we are officially introduced to the wiretapper. We see a glimpse of him in the first episode, but we don’t know who he is yet. Now we get to see the relationship he has with Cho Cheol Gang. The wiretapper installs a microphone near Captain Ri’s house, so that he can listen in, record, and report.

2. Dan and Seung Jun arrive in North Korea

It seems like the two arrive on the same flight because they come at the same time. Dan decides to visit Captain Ri meanwhile Seung Jun goes straight to his home.

3. Captain Ri Continues His Research

Captain Ri continues to research more into the deaths of the artifact hunters. He interviews the post guard and examines the place of the accident.

4. Se Hyeong Gets Closer to Finding Seung Jun

With the help of his wife, Se Hyeong finally starts to get on Seung Jun’s trail. He tells one of his workers to head to Shenyang.

5. Se Ri and Captain Ri Set Off

With plans to set sail, Se Ri and Captain Ri set off in the fishing boat with hopes to head home. The coast guards stop them and put them in awkward situation.

Quote

“They say that even rivers and mountains change in ten years’ time.”-Dan’s uncle.

Scenes

Se Ri wants to show off that she’s Captain Ri’s ‘fiance’. It’s a cute scene that makes Captain Ri step outside of his comfort zone.
I love this scene where the beggar attempts to steal from Captain Ri. Se Ri wants to give him food and Captain Ri approves. It was a sad, but heartfelt scene.
Se Ri decides to do an award ceremony for the boys. It’s hilarious.

Thoughts

Who needs Netflix when you can eat steamed corn and chill? This would be a relaxing way to spend a summer night
