Drama Inspired Recipe: Coffee Prince’s Korean Street Style Waffle

In episode 3 of Coffee Prince, Han Kyul finds a man with a popular street stand selling some delicious waffles. After the man was ran off by a shop owner, Han Kyul offered him a job at the soon to be opened coffee shop.

Luckily waffles are something American’s occasionally or often eat for breakfast. So I have all the ingredients and I even have a waffle maker that I borrowed from my sister and never returned. Just perfect!

Check out these delicious Lemon Honey Waffles I made!

Waffles, Waffles, Waffles

I can’t continue this next section without a musical break from Teen Titans Go (sorry, my children watch it).

Anyways, I decided to make the waffles for breakfast. Before I started I looked online for recipes on how to make them Korean style. I hardly had any luck, but I came across this video:

It looked so delicious. I liked how the street vendor in the video above even made his own whipped cream. It’s so thick! I decided that I’ll make my recipe similar since I have all the ingredients anyway.

The cooking process was fairly easy. You lay out everything you need. Place all the dry ingredients together in one bowl and place all the wet ingredients together in another bowl. Mix both separately. Then mix together. Add the dough to the waffle maker. Let it cook. When it is complete, add the delicious toppings.

The toppings can be pretty open-ended. I just added what I saw in the video above and I’d probably wouldn’t stray from it too much. What kind of things would you add to your waffle?

Afterthoughts

Nothing special occurred in the making of these waffles. When they were done, they were delicious. This is something that I would probably make again. My family loved them.
