Sweet and Spicy Ginger Tea which is also known as Caina’s tea from Meteor Garden (2018). During the Caina’s arc, Caina offers Terrance an unique Ginger Tea. He guessed the ingredients and she mentioned her special ingredient as well.

I had to know what it taste like. The ingredients include lemon, brown sugar, and cola mixed into the ginger tea. These ingredients are all things that I have in my home, but I have never thought to add them to the tea. Honestly, who would? And if you do add things to your ginger tea, I must know what. My husband does make delicious ginger tea often, especially when someone is sick. So I asked him how he makes his tea and then I added in the special ingredients.

Sweet and Spicy Ginger Tea

Ingredients

  • ---Ginger Tea---
  • 1 ginger root peeled and roughly chopped
  • Water
  • ---sweet and spicy tea---
  • 3 c ginger tea
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 c Dr. Pepper

Instructions

  • Place ginger in pot. Cover with water. Bring water to a boil at medium high; reduce heat to medium and simmer for about 8 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add to mug. Add the lemon, brown sugar, and Dr. Pepper. Drink.

Afterthoughts

Be careful when making this. If the ginger is overcooked then you’ll really have a spicy tea on your hands. And if you like that level of spiciness, more power to you.
