2017 Year in Review

December 31, 2017 by Marissa

I have written so much this year. I am really proud of myself. It’s a difficult taks to keep up with a blog, take care of a family, and work full-time. This 2017 year in review post is about the most viewed blog posts of 2017. I want to thank everyone who takes the time to visit my page. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy writing about it. So here are the 10 most viewed blogpost in 2017:

10. Playful Kiss Drama Review

This is an old school drama, but still some viewers  were curious to read about it. It seems to be a K-drama classic and I wanted to include it in my year. The drama isn’t as good as it’s counterparts from other countries, but it is still a decent drama.

9.  Nao and Daichi Date

The most popular date on the blog. I’m not entirely sure why since there are more dates that have more activities to them. But I can’t argue. This was a very simple date compared to the Jungu/Hani date (which happens to be the most exhausting of the dates I wrote about this year.

Other dates include:

  • Good Morning Call (both seasons): Nao and Issei, Daichi and Nanase
  • Playful Kiss: Gitae and Hani, Seungjo and Hani, Jungu and Hani, Dates article

8. Good Morning Call: Our Campus Days Drama Review

The second season of Good Morning Call is number 8 on the list. I think this mostly have to do with the post being written this month. It landed on the top 100 list from only being posted for less than a month, so this is a very popular post.

7. Yoshikawa Croquette Recipe

The Yoshikawa croquette is one of the most popular post and with good reason too. This is what Nao’s parents made for her when they came to visit in Good Morning Call. These are delicious, but I made many delicious recipes.

  • A White Rose: Limonada, Chocolate-covered pretzel, sloe gin fizz
  • Veil of Roses: Shirini Keshmeshi Cookies
  • Other: Champurrado/atole,

6. Good Morning Call Travel Spots

Of all the travel spot post this remains the most popular. The drama has so many fun and interesting places to visit. I understand why it would be. Here are so other travel places:

  • Good Morning Call: Our Campus Days
  • A White Rose
  • Playful Kiss
  • Veil of Roses
  • You’re My Destiny

5. Learning about culture from Good Morning Call

The learning about culture posts are probably the number 1 reason I wanted to start a blog. I feel like you can learn so much from watching or reading something. And I was so right. This post about Good Morning Call receive the most views, but here are some others that I wrote:

  • A White Rose
  • Playful Kiss
  • Good Morning Call Manga and Blast from the past
  • Good Morning Kiss Manga

4. Cabbage Roll Recipe

This cabbage roll recipe is a fusion of two recipes. They came out tasting so delicious. It’s no wonder this recipe comes in 4th. I loved making this and I would make them again if had the time. Here are some more recipes from the manga.

  • Lemon honey waffles and iced mint tea
  • Gyoza
  • Spaghetti all’amartriciana

3. Good Morning Call Drama review

This article better be in the top. It was the first drama review of the year. Good Morning Call seems to be my theme for 2017. Nearly every article I written was about the drama. I honestly didn’t intend to drag the drama out all year, but that is just the way it happened.

2. Milk Pudding Recipe

This recipe comes in at number for the most popular post of 2017. I think it has to do with how iconic the pudding was in Good Morning Call. I have other recipes from the drama Good Morning Call:

  • Soba
  • Valentine’s Chocolate

1. You’re My Destiny Drama Review

The number one post for Metta Cultura in 2017 is You’re My Destiny. This is probably because the Thai version of this drama was released. I did watch the Thai version, but I never got around to writing about maybe later.

This wraps up the top 10 post of 2017. For 2018, I want to try to write about more dramas and extend it from just Asian one. Although I do enjoy writing about them. I also want to write about movies and more books as well. So stay tune and stay ready. Thank you for reading my blog and Happy New Year!!
