Genre: Romantic Comedy

Review

I initially watched this drama back in 2012 when Netflix first added it (or I first noticed Korean dramas on Netflix). I didn’t like it too much (from what I can remember). I watched it again last summer; I still didn’t like it. It wasn’t until I watched it a third time in order to write this post did I decided that it was okay. Thanks to Mischievous Kiss (Japanese, 2013), It Started with a Kiss (Taiwan, 2005) and Miss in Kiss (Taiwan, 2016) because if I didn’t watch those versions of the series, I still probably wouldn’t like it. I’m writing this review trying my hardest not to compare it to the other versions.

Characters

Story

This story is based on the Japanese manga, Itazura Na Kiss. The drama takes most of its story from the manga.  There are some parts that don’t match up, such as going to the beach. In the manga, they went to the pool instead.

Music

The Music was ok. I do like the song Joongu’s friends play with their awesome alternative instruments. The music is from an indie band name meaning “Bye Bye Sea.”

Best Scenes

Hani gets a Job and tries to hide it.

Hani helps the tennis coach with Hera.

Dad walks in on Hani (who just got out of the shower) and Seungjo

Gitae and Jungu fighting over Hani and Seungjo comes to take her.

So I will say that this is worth checking out. Only because others love it and you may have a different taste than me. I love the story, but I don’t like this version of it.
